Introducing GENESIX V2 at IBC 2011

STRYME launches GENESIX advanced IT-based PLAYOUT

As a result of continuously development STRYME launches the next generation of its IT-based Playout solution GENESIX. Released at IBC 2011 (Hall 7, Stand C.28) GENESIX V2 offers new features and improvements like client/server architecture, enhanced scheduling, character generator, fully automated workflows and traffic management on new redundant server hardware.

PLAYLIST SCHEDULING

Through the improved calendar-style scheduling user interface, program planning becomes as easy as creating appointments in Outlook.

PLAYOUT AUTOMATION AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

The new automation feature provides functions like automated gap-filling, GPI- and CG-triggering or logo insertion. The traffic management service keeps the local video storage of the playout server up-to-date and fetches the required content files from central storage automatically.

CHARACTER GENERATOR

With the integrated character generator functionality now is much easier to put title, banner, news line, stocks and weather information into the video stream.

STUDIO PLAYOUT AND INGEST SERVER

Along with the Playout Automation Server STRYME also updates its GENESIX Studio Playout – now with VDCP and LTC/VITC Support. The Ingest Solution becomes now functionality like loop recorder, scheduled ingest and “Edit while Capture” with additional codecs (Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHD).

SERVER ARCHITECTURE AND NEW HARDWARE

The server architecture ensures maximum steadiness and performance and enables fully remote operation. The new Hewlett Packard Proliant DL370 G6 server hardware with its redundant power supplies and hot-swap hard disk drives offers highest performance and maximum reliability.
